DISCIPLINES
Small group conversations
The small group setup really creates a safe environment for real and honest conversations. It helps people to open up, share, encourage and disciple each other. There is space and time to go deeper into topics and have fellowship with one and other. People can really become a part of each others lives and have the honour of journeying together.
Prayers
C.S. Lewis taught that we always have God's attention, because He has unlimited attention. He is paying attention to me all the time. Prayer is conversation with God. In prayers I can go any time in front of God, talk and listen and let Him shaping my heart as I am looking up to Him and having a living relationship with Him.
Morning Bible meditations
O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch (Psalm 5:3). Giving ourselves to the Lord starts in the morning. As we align our hearts and minds to God, as we remember who He is and who we are, He fills us with His Holy Spirit so that we can live the day with love for Him and others. Every morning we try to start the day with God, read, think and contemplate.
Serving
Whenever we serve we basically join God in His work. The Creator and I are working together. Isn't that an amazing thing to think about and be a part of. So often serving others is not a joyful act. We do it out of obligation, guilt, acceptance or any other selfish reason. But this type of service is different. We are serving for the love and glory of God and only for that. It flows out of our deep love for Him. An expression of it that show how much we love Him.
Bible studies
The Bible is God's love letter to us. He wrote it so that we can know Him. As we are reading it we open our hearts to get to know and experience God, his character, his will and his path for us. Knowing Him and His voice helps us to understand who we are and to see and hear Him in our everyday lives.
