DISCOVER ANOTHER SIDE OF YOU

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

We have been in touch with the Szivarvany Home for almost 2 years now. We run very successful programs together in the past and we are planning ro run more in the future too. Every time we meet, transformation happens. In them, in us, in everybody. The love and the passion for caring that they show creates a different environment that most of us are used to. We are afraid of having disabled people in any forms in our lives. Mostly because we do not know them. We have a picture about them based on the first impression. But what happens when you get connected to them. Take a look!

WHY WE ARE THERE

The Home does an excellent job working with these people. They organize great trips, have guided sessions, run an education program. They should stand as role models for all of us. When we are there, we are there for 2 reasons: special programs and human connections.

Special programs

Since we always go there with a bigger team these occasions are always very special for the residents. One reason is that a part of the residents leaves the home very rarely. Your presence generate excitement in them and treat you as someone special for whom they will surely remember.

Human connection

Do you remember the joy of meeting a new person? Discovering common interests and getting to know each other. The residents rarely have the time to meet new people and keep those relations for a longer time. So when you come, empty yourself and let it be filled up by them.

PROGRAMS IN THE HOME

9:00 - 9:30 Breakfast

There is no better start of the day then a team breakfast. Tea, coffee, food while getting read for the day. Make sure you collect enough energy because you will certainly need a lot!

9:30 - 12:00 Guided session

The morning sessions are great for new comers to meet the residents for the first time as we slowly get started with the planned programs.

12:00 - 13:00 Lunch

This is the first time during the day sit down and think after a busy morning. It is always fun to sit around the table, talk about the previous session or chat a bit with the care-takers.

13:00 - 16:00 Guided session

The afternoon sessions are always different from the morning ones. We all feel more comfortable, know the place and the people better, which opens place for more informal discussion time.

17:00 - 18:00 Dinner

After arriving home it is always good to take a short break, think about the day, journal, make some phone calls. Make sure you do it now because with the dinner, evening start!

18:00 - 22:00 Team time

After dinner we have a reflection time about the day. We all share how we felt, what we observed. Then the evening is open for more conversations, games, movies or other activities that the location offers for us.
